Mokume Gane Pendant
The term "Mokume Gane" - an ancient form of Japanese metalsmithing, translates to "wood grain in metal." Made up of 16 layers of Sterling Silver and Copper, the metals are heat and pressure fused into a single piece. The result is a "wood grain" effect which we enhance by treating the copper portion with a darkening patina in a 14mm x 3mm coin-shaped pendant with a sterling silver base. We suspended it from a delicate (1mm) sterling silver chain. The chain includes a 2" extender so you can adjust the length to suit whatever you're weaing, from 16" to 18".
This is a pendant that looks great with just about anything - dress or casual, and is sure to get comments. Each piece is hand crafted and unique so the pattern on your piece will be different from the photo.
