This is truly an extraordinery specimen of Black Opal. The flashing of green and blue as you turn the stone almost resembles an LED-like effect. Watch the brief video to get an idea of how beautiful the stone is. 
I mounted the stone in a 14k gold-filled bezel and added a small gold-filled beaded accent (I didn't want to take anything away from the stone!). The shank is a gold-filled hammered design.
